I watched
the class of 4th grade and I was very impressed by the children talking about
complicated topics such as economics and thinking about the laws.
The teacher
showed them a graph of economy of supply and demand curve. (This graphic is
very difficult to deal with such young children). She explained to them a
problem that they later solved and debated among themselves about percentages
and profits, the teacher conducted the dialogue. These students are very well
informed, they see that they are investigate, read news and are interested in
current issues.
In this class they talk about different topics such as science,
art, music, etc.
Ask if this
was included in their curriculum and the teacher explained that no. these are
secondary subjects that are given at lower levels and as they grow they
increase the degree of difficulty; These groups are very good for this type of
students because it stimulates critical thinking and they do not get bored in
their regular classes when they achieve their goals before their classmates.
Thank you for the description. It sounds like a wonderful activity.
ResponderBorrarNevertheless, this is only an activity description; it is not reflective.
